Raised in the Mountain West, Chris VanÓver was drawn to spending as much time as possible outdoors. Chris’ work has led him to remote places around the world. Inspired by nature, his work mainly captures nature and the outdoors through the prospective of a hiker, who moves through terrain on foot, builds campfires from fallen branches, washes in cold mountain lakes and sleeps under a canopy of stars.

Currently freelancing and working on creating large format wood prints. When something lives in the digital world, it is easily scrolled past, swiped away and forgotten forever. Sadly, digital photos live a ghostly existence. A wood print conserves photographs turning them into a part of the real world and a part of your life.
